Photo

I shot this image on my way to work last Monday morning.  Lately I’ve been trying to keep the Canon G12 with me a lot more often (even though I almost always have my iPhone5 with me).  I saw this shot and just had to turn around and snap a few images.
The building is Hamerschlag Hall on the campus of Carnegie-Mellon University.  I took this from the other side of Panther Hollow near the US Post Office building.  I shot a series of brackets, but I ended up creating this image by using only a single image (I didn’t really like how the HDRs turned out…I may need to work with them a bit more.)  I used the -2 ev image, which ended up being f/4.5, 1/20th at ISO 1250.  I then did some editing in Aperture and cleaned up the noise a bit in Topaz Denoise3.
